Made with base oils derived from 100 % plant-based biomass, ROWE SUNSPEED® is an innovative alternative to mineral oil-based lubricants. According to the “cradle-to-gate” assessment, the carbon
footprint of the biosynthetic base oils (from cradle to factory gate) *¹, is approximately -0.50 kg of CO2 equivalents per kilogram of base oil. This means that more CO2 is sequestered during the growth phase of the plant-based raw material than is released during the production of the base oils.

ROWE SUNSPEED® utilizes these 100 % plant-based, synthesized base oils, which are derived from renewable resources. This base oil serves as an essential key component in the formulation of ROWE SUNSPEED®. Combined with a high-performance additive package, it results
in a high-quality, 100 % biosynthetic engine oil that serves as an alternative to petroleum-based lubricants.

Carbon dioxide (CO2), sunlight and soil nutrients are the starting materials for the biosynthesis of vegetable fats.

These vegetable fats are extracted and refined to produce vegetable oils which consist primarily of pure hydrocarbon molecules and are less prone to contamination compared with conventional base oils.
